Software is abstract, and overstrains most people due to its complexity. Building a skyscraper is a straightforward task conceived easily by most people. Everybody would scream if someone would plan installing an antenna on the roof while the foundation is not completed. Unfortunately most people don't accept that software needs some statics not to fall apart, too. Don't build your software on quicksand!

If you are not sure whether all involved companies are working fine and in your sense, it may make sense to establish an external project monitoring. It's cheaper compared to any project exit. This must not happen.

The "Make or Buy" question probably is as old as economy itself. In software related projects it is important to calculate the costs for creating own solutions respectively buying a standard solution in a fair way. A "standard solution" which needs to be tailored heavily, so that it becomes non-standard and non-upgradeable, causing high license and maintenance costs and a lock-in to one vendor - this won't be a good solution. Near- and Offshoring are phenomena that will persist in the German software market. It's not easy to do comparisons in a fair way. One has to include e.g. exploding communication and project management expenses, suffering quality, high fluctuation of developers, as well as knowhow leakages. It's relevant whether technical or business tasks are offshored. It's astonishing that some suppliers are offering rates one could easily get in Germany (e.g. if one would not require physical presence of project members or one would hire them directly). Request a consultancy.

Unfortunately not every project is a success. Some projects lack the required measured values for the load and stress tests, some projects have exploding maintenance efforts. Please note that it will always cheaper to request early consultancy compared to let everything run and thereby create the need for later optimization and retrofitting. Contact us early, not just if the roof's on fire.

Probably the worst solution for anybody is to exit the project. If this step cannot be prevented, we can help you to find out who's responsible from a technical and organizational view. If a law suite should become unavoidable we can work together with several law firms specialized on IT law. Prevention is better than cure. Normally any lawsuite leaves two losing parties.

A conflict resolution without a court will save a lot of time and does not anticipate further business. Let us find a solution that is better compared to a lawsuit lasting several years with final decision by the German Federal Court of Justice. Let us enlarge the cake, instead of fighting over crumbs.
